The cheerful signage of PCSimple has long been a familiar fixture in Sheringham, and the colourful, winking lights in the window a welcome sight to those whose computers have gone wrong in some way.
I only wish I had £1 for every time I’ve heard the words, “I need to take it to Clive.”
Clive Sanham established PCSimple in the mid-1990s; his objective was to provide IT support and education to people of 55 and over. With a background in computer technology, adult education, accountancy, and social-club management, Clive was well qualified to launch this business. His teaching skills have enabled him to coach adults in IT, and also to take a huge role in educating the numerous apprentices who have been lucky enough to work for him.
Clive was one of my first clients, in the days when Folio Copywriting was in its infancy. Since then, I’ve written bits and pieces for PCSimple, and whenever my computer has been poorly, I’ve taken it to Clive. Earlier this year, I was delighted to be asked to write content for Fortify247, Clive’s new cybersecurity company.
Cybercrime is growing – in both frequency and severity – and businesses of all sizes are being targeted. However, criminality isn’t the only threat to IT systems. Did you know that user error is still the most common cause of data loss?
Through regular security audits, team training, and emergency remedial work – hand-in-hand with some of the most advanced security software available – Fortify247 provides multi-level security packages for businesses of all kinds, in the UK and abroad.
